Since 2011, Folklore Ensemble Stonožka has proudly celebrated Slovak culture through traditional dance, song, and customs. Featuring dancers from small children to young adults, the ensemble offers an intergenerational showcase of Slovakia’s rich heritage. Each performance highlights vibrant regional dances performed in authentic costumes (kroje), adorned with distinctive embroidery and colour. As one of Australia’s few active Slovak folklore groups, Stonožka brings storytelling, music, and community spirit to life—sharing centuries-old traditions with audiences and contributing to Australia’s multicultural tapestry.
