We’re committed to making your festival experience enjoyable and stress-free. From helpful information to special services, here’s everything you need to know.

Information tents

Our friendly volunteers are available at the information tents to assist you. You can find the information tents:  

  • Next to the Canberra Times Fountain, outside the Canberra Centre 
  • Inside Glebe Park, near the entrance at the corner of Bunda Street and Akuna Street.

First aid services

Your safety is our priority. First aid services are available at: 

  • Glebe Park, across from the Rotunda near the Gandhi statue
  • Near the Canberra Times Fountain, outside the Canberra Centre
  • Throughout the festival—first aid attendants will be circulating the crowds

Festival quiet space

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle, visit our quiet space at the Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre. It’s a peaceful spot to recharge. For more details on this and other relaxing spaces, check out our accessibility and inclusion page.

Family Sanctuary

Located at the Canberra Museum + Gallery (CMAG), our Family Sanctuary offers a calm and creative environment for families. Drop in for free children’s activities, including craft, music, and face painting, and enjoy a break in a welcoming space.

Open from 10am – 4pm on Saturday, 8th and Sunday, 9th February 2025.

Activities at the Family Sanctuary:

  • Drop-in Craft Activities (10am – 3.30pm): Create cultural art with colourful materials or weave animal shapes.
  • CSO Family Concerts (10.15am, 11.30am, 1.15pm, and 2.30pm): Join the Canberra Symphony Orchestra for a family-friendly concert featuring music, singing, and dancing.
  • CSO Instrument Petting Zoo (12.10pm – 1.10pm): Try out different orchestra instruments, with musicians to help guide you.
  • Face Painting (11am – 3pm): Free face painting provided by Funny Fantasy Entertainment.
  • Chill-Out Space for Mums and Bubs (10am – 4pm): A designated breastfeeding and relaxation area to help mums and bubs take a break.
  • Exhibitions (10am – 4pm): Explore free exhibitions, including:
    • Canberra/Kamberri, Place & People – Gallery 1
    • Nolan: For the Term of His Natural Life – Nolan Gallery, Level 1
    • Outer Space: Stromlo to the Stars – Circuit Gallery
    • Djara – CMAG on the Square
