Getting to the festival

Your hassle-free journey to the National Multicultural Festival

With large crowds, roadworks, and planned road closures, planning your journey to the festival ahead of time will help make your experience smooth and stress-free.

Enjoy free public transport

We’ve partnered with Transport Canberra to offer free public transport all weekend! From 4.30pm on Friday, 7 February, to the last service on Sunday, 9 February, enjoy free bus and light rail travel. Parking in the city is limited and road closures will be in effect. Public transport is the most convenient and sustainable way to get to the festival.

  • Tap on and off with your MyWay+ card (or hop on without one) to register a $0 fare.
  • Visit the Transport Canberra website for routes and timetables to make your journey easier.

Park and ride

Skip the hassle of finding a city parking spot by using Park and Ride facilities. Conveniently located near Rapid bus routes, these hubs let you park your car and catch a free bus directly to the festival.

Find your nearest Park and Ride location on the Transport Canberra website.
