The National Multicultural Festival is a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, and community—and performers are at the heart of it all.
Applications to perform at the 2026 festival have now closed. However, we’re still accepting waitlist submissions from performers who are keen to be part of the festival. Please note that joining the waitlist does not guarantee a spot—our team will be in touch only if an opportunity becomes available.
Performer pathways
Whether you're a community group, professional artist, or passionate volunteer, there’s still a chance to be part of our stage performances, workshops, cooking demonstrations, cultural showcases, or parade. We welcome expressions of interest from all genres—music, dance, spoken word, performance art, roving acts, and ceremonial presentations.

Professional performers
If you earn an income from your art and perform as part of your profession, this option is for you. Professional performers often have a portfolio of work, a public profile, and experience performing at festivals, events, or venues.
Volunteer performers
If you're performing as a hobby or as part of a community group, this is the option for you. Volunteer performers take part without funding and are often involved in local festivals, school performances, or grassroots events.
Grant supported programs
If you need financial help to bring your performance or activity to life, you can apply for a grant. Grants can cover costs like materials, transport, and costumes, and are ideal for those who want to participate but need a bit of extra support.
