Ways to participate in the National Multicultural Festival
The National Multicultural Festival is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity that makes Canberra so vibrant — and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible contributions of our community.
Whether you're a performer, stallholder, volunteer, city business, or community organisation, there are many ways to be part of the magic.

Volunteers
Be part of the team that brings the festival to life! Volunteering is a fun way to meet people, gain experience, and support a celebration of cultural diversity.

City Businesses
Local businesses in the City Centre and Braddon can apply for grants to deliver multicultural-themed activations in the lead up and during the festival.

Sponsors
Support one of Canberra’s most loved events and align your brand with culture and inclusion — with great exposure and real impact.

Performers
Showcase your culture by performing on stage, leading a workshop, hosting a cooking demo, joining the parade, or creating a cultural showcase.

Stallholders
Share your culture through food, products, and information. Stallholders help create the vibrant marketplace that makes the festival special.
Applications to perform or host a stall at the 2026 festival closed on 26 August 2025. However, we’re still accepting waitlist submissions from performers and stallholders who are keen to be part of the festival. Please note that joining the waitlist does not guarantee a spot—our team will be in touch only if an opportunity becomes available.
