In the Information Tent, you’ll serve as a point of contact for festival attendees, providing essential guidance on the day’s schedule, stage locations and festival maps. This role is ideal for those who prefer a single, semi-outdoor environment while still actively engaging with the public.

Accessibility

This is an outdoor volunteer role stationed at an information tent. It is mostly seated and out of the sun but can be warm in the tent. It will require you to interact with people. In some precincts of the festival, it will be busy and loud.

Responsibilities

  • Provide festival attendees with information and respond to inquiries at the event’s information tents.
  • Distribute event maps, schedules, and other relevant materials.
  • Collaborate with fellow volunteers to ensure the information tent is well-stocked and organised.
  • Address any issues raised at the information tent, escalating them when necessary.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks of materials and resources.
  • Secure the information tent overnight and return materials to the site office after the event.

Please note: During your shift, you may be assigned to manage the information tent radio for communications with the festival’s command centre, as needed.
