Choro da Capital, The Cry of the Capital, is a Canberra-based band that plays the genre of Brazilian music called choro, which came about in nineteenth century Rio de Janeiro. A mix of European melodies and harmonies with African rhythms, it is a sort of early Brazilian jazz. Thomas Manley weaves the melodies on the clarinet (clarinete)
