In this role, you will assist with the set-up and dismantling of festival infrastructure like stalls or stage areas. This position involves physical activity, including some lifting, so if you enjoy early or late starts, outdoor work, and staying active, this role is perfect for you!

Accessibility

This is an outdoor volunteer role that may require you to walk around the festival to attend different stalls or stage sites. Breaks to rest in the shade will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist stallholders and performers with the setup and pack-down of stalls and equipment.
  • Instruct stakeholders on safely accessing the event area and properly setting up or packing down equipment.
  • Coordinate the orderly arrival, departure and placement or removal of materials and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers, staff, and contractors to ensure a timely set-up and bump-out process in line with event schedules.
  • Help maintain a clean and unobstructed festival site.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Precinct Managers and Event Managers.
  • Report and document any damages to the city infrastructure to event organisers.
