Across the festival weekend, audiences will experience authentic, high-energy performances featuring vibrant costumes, rhythmic drumming and breathtaking choreography. From intimate stage shows to the grand parade, this collaboration promises the largest display of dragons and lions ever seen in Canberra—bringing good luck, joy and excitement to all. Rooted in centuries-old tradition, these performances celebrate Chinese heritage while creating magical moments for the whole community.

In collaboration with an up and coming dragon and lion dance team in Melbourne, Canberra's premier dragon and lion dance team will bring a showcase of performances, across the weekend. Through this collaboration, a greater number of performances could be offered, in parallel and in different locations to reach more of the community. Experience from both teams will bring authentic, exciting, colourful, and engaging performances that wow the audience every time. Soaring Dragon, based in Melbourne, (https://www.soaringdragon.com.au), will bring a full team of multi-talented performers who will showcase their professional and high quality dragon and lion dance performances. Similarly, but in Canberra's own style, Prosperous Mountain (https://canberraliondance.com) will also deliver a range of lion dance performances for small, medium and big stage settings for Canberrans to be proud of and visitors to enjoy. Both Soaring Dragon and Prosperous Mountain will combine in the festival?s parade to bring the most number of dragons and lions ever in Canberra, to bring good luck, smiles and memories for all to experience.
